Football fun!

We drove to Devi Lal Stadium. This was going to be our first football match we see. And we were seeing it in V.I.P seats. How, you may ask? My dad’s friend (DP Singh) works in the company that owns the Punjab Football Club. Thanks to that I could see the whole match in a closer position. We went and parked. Then we walked our way into the football stadium. We got our V.I.P tickets and made our way to the V.I.P Gate. All types of people were in the V.I.P seats, young and old.

I don’t think I had any idea how much fun I will have.

DP Singh (Our Dad’s Friend) escorted us to our seats so special thanks to him. We arrived and sat there at approximately 6:30. The match was to start at 7:00 sharp. My brother being the energetic person he is, went down as close as possible to take a photo of the football grounds where the players were practicing. At around 6:45 the players left to freshen up. At 7:00 sharp, a suspenseful music started playing as each of the players started walking towards the football grounds. By 7:02 the match started. The ball passed down from player to player, sometimes being taken from the opposing team. Finally Roundglass Punjab scored a goal. While they were attempting to score a goal I noticed that some players fell and sometimes get injured as well. It was like someone tried to reduce war to its 2%. Soon the first 45 minute mark ended.

Roundglass Punjab Football Club – 2, Sreenidi Deccan Football Club – 0

The second half started after a break and it was similar. Just that at the start Deccan scored a goal making the score 2-1. After that is was just a lot of close calls for Deccan. A popcorn would have been good for a intense match like this but they did give us some snacks. A banana, a sandwich and a juice. They were tasty but the sandwich was as bad as the situation for Deccan. If Roundglass scores a goal then it would be harder to win. So Deccan have to score a goal. Unfortunately Rounglass had really aced it on the defense. The last 10 minutes were intense but Roundglass won. We left our seats to leave. We were talking about everything that happened at the football game and how fun it was.

While we were coming back to the parking lot we saw lots of ambulances and so I realized they were prepared for the worst.

Thank you Mr DP Singh for helping us.
