Small boy with big dreams.

Northwards towards the golden temple!

The golden temple was built on 1588 AD which makes it 434 years old at the time of writing this. It was built by Guru Arjan because he suggested an idea of a place of worship where every Sikh can come and worship.

We went to Amritsar recently and we got the opportunity to go to the famous ‘‘Golden Temple’’. We rode an Electric Rickshaw to Jallianwala Bagh and the Golden temple.

First we explored the Jallianwala Bagh. I was imagining t would be almost the same as it was just that it would have some boards explaining what happened and all. Now although I respect the people who died there for our freedom, I was immensely disappointed to find out that it was basically a park.

Jallianwala Bagh should have been a place of mourning as many people died for our freedom. I wasn’t expecting that place to be painted as some place happy. As I said it reminded me of a park a lot, there were quite a few bullet holes and tv screens but that was generally it.

Then we went to the golden temple. Lucky for my brother and father as last time we went, Jerry (My brother) got sick and both my father and him could not join. The golden temple was amazing had we took some selfies but the best part was afterwards when we went into the museum near it. There were guns, pictures, coins and what not! It was an amazing experience I had.
